HIGHBUS is engineered for thermal contraction-expansion and building sway with fewer components and connection points allowing for rapid trouble-free installation with zero misalignment issues.
HIGHBUS is incomparably more efficient than bus duct and it not magic. It’s just electromagnetics. Regular bus duct uses flat copper or aluminum bus bars, with high electromagnetic interference. By contrast, in HIGHBUS regular cables are paralleled to form phases and neutral. By changing the arrangement of the cables in HIGHBUS, we have reduced the inductance and improved VOLTAGE DROP –the biggest problem in high-rises - by up to 50%. The skin effect in round cables and so-called weaving conductors together, lead to higher virtual diameter of phases, and eventually, the impedance of the system steps down. The same basic electromagnetic idea is used in bundled conductor of transmission lines to reduce inductance. Also, HIGHBUS has pre-configured terminations for direct connection to splitter system with standard set for up to six draws.
The water proof floor flange water dam endure up to 12” of water, environmental seals, and 2-hour fire stops. With minimum installation time, wet-dry rated system eliminates replacement costs of water damaged electrical systems during installation and service life. Ease of installation reduces labour costs and maintenance requirements.
Cables are proven to be more reliable than sandwiched bus bars, especially in case of earthquake and floods. The cable terminations – as the most vulnerable points of a cable system - are placed in a patented sealed enclosure, developed by our company. Thus, we can we guaranty the performance of our system in wet/dry rated conditions. As well as its maintenance free status. HIGHBUS can even be installed during construction as provisional power line. And, at the end of construction it will continue to operate as the main power supply for the building.
Due to its wet/dry rating, HIGHBUS is impervious to water and water damages. Therefore, it is the only system on the market, currently, that can be used as provisional power supply during the construction and permanent power supply afterwards.
